We are Canberra based but happily capture wedding Australia-wide and overseas.
Do you charge for travel?
Our travel fees for weddings within 2 hours of Canberra are built into our packages. For weddings with more than 2 hours travel, a fee of $300 is required to help cover travel and accommodation costs. A well rested videographer is a happy videographer!
What is a highlights reel?
A 3-4 minute cinematic film set to music capturing the essence and most magical moments of your day. The file size allows you to share the film on social media and email it to friends and family.
What is a raw edit?
This is the footage from the whole day loosely edited into a longer film. This is the one you want to put your feet up to and watch!
How do you work? Will you direct us? Do you need extra time for filming?
Kris comes from a background in documentary filmmaking, and that's the style we choose to adopt. We're about capturing the natural moments of the day (the 'fly-on-the-wall' stuff!) in the most non-obtrusive way possible. We don't use any big equipment - just us and our cameras. We want you to relax and enjoy your day and forget we're even there!
We need a last minute videographer, can you help us?
We recognise that sometimes things come together at the very last minute. Don't hesitate to get in touch - if we have the date free, we'd love to help you out! Rest assured, there are no extra costs for last minute bookings.
When will we receive our wedding films?
The highlights reel and raw edit are generally ready within 14-16 weeks of your wedding day. We work with only the best laboratories to develop our Super 8 film and we will not skimp on this. It may take a little longer but the final product is absolutely worth it!
How will we receive our films?
Your films will be delivered by express post on USB and Blu-ray.
We're not sure if we need a videographer - should we bother?
Growing up Jes was fortunate to have access to Super 8 footage of her parents' wedding. It's amazing to watch her mum dance with her grandpa - to see how everyone moves, their gestures and body language, to sit and watch the film as if we were there ourselves. What a keepsake! That's part of what inspired us to do what we do. Let us film that keepsake for you and your family to come.

Give us a call, or get in touch via our comments box or email us at barnowlfilmsaustralia@gmail.com with your wedding date and chosen package. We'll check our bookings calendar and go from there! If we're free, all we require is a non-refundable $400 deposit. Once your date has been secured, we're happy to travel to you to meet in person, or if you prefer, can arrange a Skype date. This is a chance for us to get to know you, discuss the theme and general running of the day and answer any additional questions you might have.
